This policy explains how Highly Electric handles your personal information when you contact us, request a quote or use this website. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Who we are
Omnitronix Pty Ltd is an authorised distributor of genuine VDO and Lovato parts, based in Randburg, Gauteng, South Africa. For the purposes of POPIA, we are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy.
Our company registration and VAT numbers appear on our tax invoices and are available on request. To reach our information officer about anything in this policy, including a request to access, correct or delete your information, contact us:

- Office: Randburg, Gauteng
What personal information we collect
We collect only the information we need to deal with your enquiry and run our business:
- Quote and contact enquiries: your name, company name, email address, phone number and the message or part list you send us.
- Order details: if your enquiry becomes an order, the delivery address and order information needed to fulfil and invoice it.
- Site analytics: basic, aggregated usage data such as pages viewed and the type of device or browser, used to keep the site working and improve it.
We do not ask for special categories of personal information, and you should not send us any through this website.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use your personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote;
- process, deliver and invoice an order you place with us;
- keep records required for tax, accounting and warranty purposes;
- maintain the security and performance of this website.
Our lawful basis is your request to deal with us before or after entering into a contract, our legitimate business interest in running and protecting the business, and our legal obligations under South African tax and company law.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is needed to fulfil your order or meet a legal duty:
- Couriers and delivery partners, to deliver an order to the address you give us.
- Payment providers, to process payment where applicable.
- Service providers, such as our hosting and email providers, who process information on our behalf under confidentiality terms.
- Authorities, where the law requires us to disclose information.
Where personal information is processed outside South Africa by a service provider, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected to a comparable standard.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it. Enquiries that do not lead to an order are kept for a reasonable period in case you follow up, then deleted. Order, invoice and tax records are kept for the periods required by South African law, after which they are securely disposed of.
Your rights under POPIA
As a data subject, you have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and request access to it;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date;
- ask us to delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep;
- object to certain processing of your information;
- complain to the Information Regulator if you believe we have not handled your information lawfully.
To exercise any of these rights, contact our information officer at [email protected]. You can also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
How we keep it secure
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we treat your information with care and review our measures from time to time.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies and similar storage to make it work and to measure basic, aggregated usage. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then work less well.
